Greetings:

Welcome to one of the best kept secrets in Northern Wisconsin. Connors

Lake and Lake of the Pines are in the heart of the Flambeau State Forest

located 20 miles west of Phillips on County Road W or 20 miles north on

County Road M from Hawkins. Both lakes have a very nice state campground

with sites right by the lakes and walking trails so you can take in nature along the way. The lakes are

noted for the great fishing with both lakes having their own boat landing and parking area. Connors

Lake also has a separate state park for day trips with a playground, cooking area, and a sandy beach

for your family and friends.

If you like canoeing or kayaking, the famous Flambeau River is only three miles away with many nature campsites along the way.

You can make it a day or spend the whole weekend floating down the river. There are many miles of UTV/ATV trails throughout

the area to ride with plenty of local restaurants and taverns to make it a fun time. If you are a trout fisherman, the Price and

Otter Creeks will make you smile. Nice trout can be found just waiting for you to sneak up on them.

The fall is a beautiful time to be on the lakes or rivers to enjoy the

outstanding colors of the trees and the smell of the forest. During this time

of year, do not be surprised if you hear an elk bugling in the woods or see a

ruffed grouse running. People from all over the U.S. make this area a stop

for some excellent bird hunting.

The winter months are exciting for the snowshoers, cross country skiers, and

snowmobilers with hundreds of miles of trails waiting for you and your

friends. Both lakes have outstanding ice fishing to make it a must stop for

the winter anglers.

Consider to come and join us this year. We love to see new people explore.

Once you come to see what this area has to offer, I promise you will be back.
