The Connors Lake | Lake of the Pines Lake Association was formed in the fall of 2003 and became incorporated in the state of Wisconsin in February 2004. It is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization managed totally by volunteers. It was initially formed to address the low water levels in the lakes. At that time, the presence of EWM was identified. In order to apply for funding and permits to treat the EWM, it was necessary to form a lake association and to be recognized by the State of Wisconsin. The purpose of the association is to preserve and protect Connors Lake, Lake of the Pines, and their surroundings, and to enhance the water quality, fishery, boating safety, and aesthetic values as a public recreational facility for today and for future generations.
